Whenever I'm asked this the first thing that always comes to mind is that I'm a proud husband and father. My father was a teacher at PRHS for 30 years and I graduated as a Bearcat back in 1997! My wife and I have four amazing kids, our son who is in 6th grade at Pat Butler, two daughters in 10th and 12th grades at PRHS and our oldest who we recently moved in to the dorms at Fresno State after graduating as a Bearcat like mom and dad!
I have been a firefighter for 24 years and will be medically retiring following permanent disabilities received from a long and tough career. A career I have loved and am extremely proud of. I am honored to have served and sacrificed as I have, whether it was locally or on large fires across the state I have stood tall with some amazing brothers and sisters and would do it all over again if I could.
My family and I have always been deeply involved in our children's lives. I have coached sports for each of them for our after school elementary athletics as well as PRYFC and PRYB, volunteered in PTA's, served as Bearcat Booster and Flamson PTO President. I have served as PRJUSD Board President for the last two years and have helped reshape what it is and how meetings are ran. I have volunteered in our children's classrooms since Preschool and have no desire to slow down now!
I give back. That's who I am. I have an amazing wife that supports me in that and joins me and we are raising our kids seeing that.
Want to know my angle? My reason for doing this? That's it.
